This database covers drugs that are used under the Advance Life Support Patient Care Standards (v5.2 10Jul2023 4 02Jul2025 ) and ACP Palliative Care Treat & Refer (v2.1, 20Mar2021), including those drugs under research protocols or expected in the near future. The purpose of this database is to provide information on drug availability so that Paramedic Services, Base Hospitals, and the Ministry of Health can proactively manage drug shortages, thus ensuring the residents of Ontario have access to appropriate and equitable healthcare.

Included in the Drug (Active Ingredient) column is the ATC code, and the Equipment Standards (v3.7 01Feb2023 .1 09Feb2024 ) requirements. The drug Status is current to the last modified date/time shown directly under the title of this page, according to the legend below. The last two columns, Notes and JIRA , are only completed if applicable; the former containing relevant information, while the later contains restricted-access organization-specific case management links. Certain drugs are optional, used for research, expected soon, or not included in either the equipment standards or the ALS PCS, these are indicated in magenta text.
